BitSoc Science Photo Contest 2013

We believe the solutions for the world’s biggest problems will be found within the field of science. Photography has the power to capture the attention and interest of everyone. Therefore, it is one of the best ways of disseminating scientific information and educating the public. We want to see in pictures the above concept and it could be a piece of research or solution, issue (e.g. poverty, food security, species extinction etc.), beauty of nature or anything in related to science that you are passionate about.

Closing date : 15^th November 2013

How to submit : Post your printed photograph together with the entry form                                            (attached) to :-

                           “BitSoc”, Faculty of Agriculture and Plantation Management,

                            Wayamba University of Sri Lanka,Makandura, Gonawila. (NWP)

or

          Hand over to biotechnology laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture and Plantation Management, Wayamba University of Sri Lanka,Makandura, Gonawila. (NWP)

Size : Minimum size of the print should be 8’’x10’’

Selection criteria :  Visual impact, originality, scientific content, technical proficiency
                                  and relevance to the theme of the contest will be evaluated.

Winning photos and other selected photos will be awarded and   presented to the public in an exhibition.
